Duaringa State School is a Band 5 school located in the Emerald District. The community of Duaringa is located 120 km west of Rockhampton and 80 km east of Blackwater along the Capricorn Highway. The school was established in 1876 and has a current enrolment of approximately 30 students.

Duaringa S.S. Improvement Agenda
Explicitly teach and extensively expose students to vocabulary in all Australian Curriculum areas.
All students from 2-7 are reaching National Minimum standards in the NAPLAN Literacy and Numeracy areas with an initial emphasis on Reading.
All students achieving a C or higher in English, Maths and Science.
Maintain attendance rates at or above 95%.
Retain the number of students at the school by increasing community faith in staff and school operations.
