Duaringa State School is a Band 5 school located in the Emerald District. The community of Duaringa is located 120 km west of Rockhampton and 80 km east of Blackwater along the Capricorn Highway. The school was established in 1876 and has a current enrolment of approximately 20 students.

Duaringa S.S. Improvement Agenda
Our agenda for improvement during 2012 was focussed on student achievement in the area of reading, during 2013 we aim to maintain the progress achieved in this area, as well as:
• Implementing the CQ regional priority of ‘Explicit Instruction’
• Improving student achievement in the area of writing, and
• Closing the Gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous achievement
